making a TOTE BAG (WITH LINING)

This short and fun mini course teaches you the art of gathering, cutting, and sewing a tote bag.

- Cutting fabric
- Accurately pinning your fabric and sewing (respect the seam allowance)
- Cutting the pattern for the lining
- How to pin and sew the tote straps
- Sewing techniques to prepare you for more projects
- Sew a patch pocket on the lining
Materials and tools needed
- FABRIC
- Exterior of the tote bag: medium-weight woven fabric. Make sure it is not stretchy fabric. Buy 1 yard of fabric.
- Lining: Light-weight woven fabric. Buy 1 yard as well.
- Purchase 2 yards of webbing to make the straps: I highly recommend 1", 1.5", or 2".
- 1 spool of all-purpose sewing thread (my personal favorite is polyester)
- Pins & fabric scissors
- An iron and ironing board or flat surface
- Sewing machine
- I will share the pattern with you. Make sure you print it out and tape it together.

Mini course cancellation policy
All payments towards any mini course tuition is final. No refunds are issued on our mini course registrations.
In the event you register for one of our mini courses then cannot attend, or team would gladly offer you a one-time credit to use toward any future mini course. In order for us to grant the credit, it is important to inform us with a minimum of 48 hours prior to the start of the mini course.
To go ahead with a cancellation and ask for a credit, email us at xioleeapparel@gmail.com.
NONE of the credits are redeemable for cash and they are not eligible to be used to buy merchandise either.

Our Policy
Please treat these small classes as a professional opportunity that will allow you to earn a skill that will be useful to your sewing goals in the future and make a commitment to attend or give us 48 hours prior if you need to cancel for a credit.
If you cannot make the initial commitment to attend the first mini course you signed up for and you were able to reschedule 48 hours ahead of time but cannot make the second event, I highly recommend that you give your spot to a friend since we cannot continue rescheduling your spot in the course.
